Amelia was deeply committed to the transmission of the knowledge she received from her gurus. Over the years she developed a teaching method rooted in the oral tradition of dhrupad while addressing contemporary issues of cross-cultural musical practice. Over the years she taught numerous international students privately. From 2000–2013 she held the chair Vicenza Conservatory in dhrupad singing. During the winter semester (2006-07) she led a seminar during at the Universität der Künste in Berlin, focussing on her interpretation of John Cage's Solo 58 (18 microtonal ragas) from his Song Books (1970), followed by a further seminar on dhrupad singing in November 2007. Throughout her career she gave innumerable lecture-demonstrations, classes and workshops in Indian singing and dance across Europe and the USA, including at:

In 2009 she took part in an Erasmus teachers' exchange programme funded by the European Community, teaching at the Rotterdam Conservatory. She collaborated as dhrupad teacher in the theatre/dance/music production Big in Bombay by Constanza Macras, which toured worldwide. In 2012/13 she was invited by the Universität der Künste in Berlin to take part in QuerKlang, an experimental music education project run in collaboration with the university and several Berlin secondary schools, culminating in a students' concert at the MaerzMusik festival in March 2013.
